KPA visit - April 2015

APFP staff, as well as current and past fellows, presented papers, chaired sessions, and led workshops. Five of 8 APFP fellows who were present assumed key roles at the conference inclusive if being board members of the Kenya Paediatric Association (KPA). See full report here

Sudan site visit

The Sudanese visit was useful in helping us to understand the country’s paediatric health care needs as well as its capacity to deliver care. Stakeholders in Sudan are in the process of compiling a strategic plan to address paediatric training needs, including for nursing and ancillary services. See full report here

Paediatric Neuro-Rehabilitation clinical skills training course - Zimbabwe

A multidisciplinary APFP team coordinated a Paediatric Neuro-Rehabilitation clinical skills training course for a diverse audience (110 people) at the Rehabilitation Department of the College of Health Sciences in Harare from 14–18 September 2015. The team facilitated rehabilitation workshops; conducted clinical demonstrations, attended clinics, undertook bedside teaching, spoke at a grand round and visited three community-based rehabilitation centres. The team also met with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zimbabwe to introduce him to the APFP.  See full report here
